It was a busy weekend of family activities a few days ago. I had an awesome opportunity to do a sleep over at the zoo with the Beavers. If you are looking for a fun group activity, the zoo does not disappoint! We got to sleep in the building where the Otters live. We also got a private tour in the evening to see some of the animals and we did some touch and feel to find out about the different feathers and fur that cover them. Super fun and very educational! I realized based on the size of a grizzly bear paw that I hope I never have to tangle with one of those guys!

Spring is finally here! It's been great to spend some time outside. On Saturday, we rode bikes from East Lake to Save On Foods for lunch and then back. This doesn't sound like a big deal but our youngest just got her training wheels off and her bike is small so there's lots of pedling involved. She did really well. Airdrie has a great pathway system. Be sure to wave if you see us out and about!

Thanks so much to my staff and the patients that attended our neuromodulators course in Calgary this weekend.I wanted to see what the experience would be like for our patients so I received injections today in my forehead, between the eyes, and around the eyes for cosmetics. I also got them in the big chewing muscle in my cheeks. I clench and grind my teeth a lot while I sleep and this should help weaken those muscles so I may not need to wear my plastic splint anymore! If you have signs of tooth grinding such as worn front teeth, sensitivity, gum recession, and cracking back teeth, I would be happy to discuss my personal experience. We have some before pictures and a video and will post the results once my botox has taken full effect in about 2 weeks. Stay tuned!

Exciting news! This weekend, we will be attending a learning course in Calgary to be able to provide botox for the upper face. This includes treatments for cosmetics to help wih forehead lines and crow's feet. It also includes treatments to some of the facial muscles that become painful during habitual clenching or grinding. It should be a fun and interesting weekend and we look forward to answering any questions for anyone interested when we return on Monday.
