Here are a few tips that will prevent them from damaging your property.
1. Don't store piles of wood, or any kind of debris along your house.
2. Keep the garbage container sealed and closed, thereby cutting off their main source of food.
3. Keep your grass no higher than 2 inches in the winter.
4. Keep the compost away from the house. 5. Keep things trimmed around the house. 6. Do not feed birds or leave any food on the ground.
7. Don't wait too long to deal with the issue. It can become a nightmare very fast!
